SMEcollaborate has resources in many countries throughout Europe including Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Scotland (UK) and Sweden.

We provide the following services within these countries (for other countries please contact head office in Ireland):

Training programs for Administrators, Users and Facilitators

A number of training programs have been developed depending on learner requirements and locations. In addition, SMEcollaborate can develop customised training or conduct in-house training if required. Examples of training programs are shown below. To find out more information on each course, click on the link beside each training program.

Introduction to Collaboration – This program introduces the concept of collaboration to organisations, helps them assess the potential for collaboration to address their business goals and enables them determine what is involved in setting up and carrying out a collaborative project.

Collaboration Methodology – This program is designed for companies who are starting to collaborate together for the first time. The training program will teach the attendees the 5 phases of the SMEcollaborate methodology. It is classroom based and oriented to collaboration implementation. Course also covers Portal end user training.

Facilitator training – This program is designed to train potential facilitators in the SMEcollaborate methodology. This program is accredited with Strathclyde University and Dublin Institute of Technology Portal end user training – This program is designed for users of a collaboration webspace and will teach the learners how to navigate the collaboration webspace and how to effectively use it to manage collaborations.

Portal end user training – This program is designed for users of a collaboration webspace and will teach the learners how to navigate the collaboration webspace and how to effectively use it to manage collaborations.

Portal Administration – This advanced course is designed for collaboration administrators and will train the user in webspace design and workflow design for customisation to suit the collaboration requirements. Requires a basic knowledge of Microsoft sharepoint.

Webspace Collaborative Environment

SMEcollaborate can set up a dedicated SharePoint template for each specific collaboration, which will enable the effective management and delivery of project goals. This webspace allows the following:

Document sharing (with version control),

Workflow management,

Contact management (both for internal and external contacts),

Manage calendars and events throughout the collaboration,

Task management for workflows, item changes and workflows.

In addition, SMEcollaborate can develop customised workflows or can customise the collaboration webspace to suit user requirements.

Facilitation services

SMEcollaborate can provide resources to set up and guide projects through the collaboration process. We will work with the lead partner to assess the strategic goals which could be best addressed through collaboration, we will help define the skills and competencies needed from potential partners and we will help set up the partnership.

Our experienced personnel will also provide guidance and support to the implementation teams of each partner.

Implementation services

In addition to facilitation support, SMEcollaborate can project manage the full collaboration implementation and act as a focal point for each phase. The level of implementation support may vary according to the level of experience of each of the partners.
